About the Northeast Asian Law Review (NALR)

The NALR has been published papers related issues to Korea, Northeast Asia, and international law since 2007. Particularly, the NALR welcomes articles addressing various legal issues matched with globalization such as: domestic markets merging into global market, proliferation democratic market economy through the world, global use of information and communication technology (ICT) and artificial intelligence (AI), development of global and regional legal system, and current legal issues related to Northeast Asian region.

Paper Submission Process & Writing Specifications:

The NALR prefers submissions sent in an attachment via e-mail to hongiklaw@hongik.ac.kr. Submissions must include profiles of all authors of the submitted article before we may begin the review process. For enquiries, please contact hongiklaw@hongik.ac.kr.
The Volume 16 of the NALR will accept papers until February 15. 2024 and will notify the selection decisions no later than February 29, 2024.
The NALR is usually limited to publishing articles of no more than 100 pages (double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12-point font), although on rare occasions we may be able to accommodate exceptional articles that exceed this page limit.
Detailed citations should be included in footnotes rather than endnotes or internal/parenthetical citations. Footnotes should be complied with the Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st edition, 2020). Please include page numbers in citations when possible. The Journal prefers submissions in Microsoft Word format.
